The presets are based on averages from the ASPCA and other North American non-profits. They give you a good starting point, but every household and every pet is different. For the most accurate estimate, replace the presets with your own costs.

You can add them in the last row labeled “Other annual costs (divide by 12)”. For example, if a dental cleaning costs $600 once a year, enter $50 in the Monthly column. That way it’s spread evenly across the year.
